Our Repair process

A brief description of how our repair process works

Arranging Collection

Call or email us, and we’ll send a courier company to collect your modules, free of charge.

We recommend that you pack any items securely to make sure they arrive with us in the same condition they left you in.

It’s important that any ECU diesel cooling chambers are removed prior to dispatch. If this is not possible, please make sure they are fully drained of any fuel and flushed out.

In most cases, we’ll be able to collect your items on the same day.

Receipt of your items

When your package arrives with us, It’ll be unpacked, the items photographed and identified. You’ll then receive an SMS or email updating you on the status and quoting a price and ETA for your repairs

Inspection and Testing

Now, your module proceeds to our repair workshop. Any heavily soiled items are initially cleaned, before being dismantled. A visual inspection is made of the PCB and components to make sure they are of repairable standard. Following this, initial component level testing is performed, before the unit is attached to a bespoke test environment where inputs are simulated, outputs are loaded up and a combination of custom made CANbus simulations and diagnostic tools are used to identify problems.

Repair

Once we have identified the issues with your unit, we will repair it using leading technology. Any replacement components are of equal or improved specification to the originals, and are sourced from top-tier suppliers. We’ll usually replace a number of components that test OK, but are subject to wear or degradation. All vulnerable soldering is removed and replaced with much improved modern solder. The casing is cleaned thoroughly and where appropriate, refinished to ensure longevity.

Final Test

During repair, the item has been tested numerous times – but after assembly it’ll be tested once again,, before being sealed in a protective bag. It is then packaged carefully and will be collected by a courier for return to you.
